YAGSHYGELDI KAKAYEV INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF OIL AND GAS

specializations (Specialist's program) and areas of study (Bachelor's program):
I. Specialist's Program:
1. Applied Geology, Mining, Petroleum Engineering, and Geodesy
(specializations: Development and Operation of Oil and Gas Fields; Drilling of
Oil and Gas Wells; Design, Construction, and Operation of Gas and Oil Pipelines
and Gas and Oil Storage Facilities; Oil and Gas Geology; Hydrogeology and
Engineering Geology; Geological Surveying and Prospecting for Mineral Deposits;
Geophysical Methods of Prospecting and Exploration of Mineral Deposits; Mine
Surveying; Mineral Processing).
2. Chemical Engineering (specialization:
chemical engineering of oil and gas processing).
3. Technosphere Safety and Environmental Management (specialization: environmental protection and rational use of natural
resources).
4. Mechanical Engineering (specialization:
refrigeration, compressor machines and units).
5. Construction Engineering and Technology (specialization: oil and gas structures and industrial construction).
6. Electric and Thermal Power Engineering (specializations: electric drives
and automation of industrial units and process complexes (in the oil and gas industry); gas turbine units and gas compressor
stations).
II. Bachelor's Program:
1. Applied Geology, Mining, Oil and Gas Engineering, and Geodesy (training focus: mining).
2. Management in Technical Systems
(training focus: standardization and metrology (in the oil and gas industry)).
3. Computer Science and Engineering (training areas: information systems
and technologies (in the oil and
gas industry); computer systems software (in the oil and gas industry)).
4. Information Security (training area: information security (in the oil and gas industry)).
5. Mechanical Engineering (training area: technological machines and
equipment (in the oil and gas industry)).
6. Electric and Thermal Power Engineering (training area: electric power
engineering and electrical engineering (in the oil and gas industry)).
7. Economics and Management (training area: economics and management of the
oil and gas industry; human resources management (in the oil and gas industry)).
III. Bachelor's Program (language of
instruction: English):
1. Applied Geology, Mining, Petroleum Engineering, and Geodesy (training areas: petroleum engineering; geology and mineral exploration).
2. Chemical Engineering (training area:
chemical engineering (in the oil and gas industry)).
3. Computer Science and Engineering (training program: Software Engineering).
4. Economics and Management (training
program: Logistics (in the oil and gas industry)).
Tuition at the university is fee-based.
The university admits citizens of Turkmenistan under 35 years of age with
at least a general secondary education, based on the results of competitive
entrance examinations.
Applications will be accepted in provincial centers and Ashgabat (in
Ashgabat and Arkadag) from July 14 to 27, 2025.

- Application form in the prescribed form;
- Educational document (original);
- Medical certificate in the form established by the Ministry of Health and
Medical Industry of Turkmenistan;
- Character reference from the last place of study (work, military unit);
- eight 3x4 cm photographs;
- a certified copy of the work record book for employed students;
- winners of the State School Olympiad and members of Turkmenistan's
national teams who participated in international Olympiads in academic subjects
must submit the originals of the relevant documents confirming these
requirements.
In addition, applicants, along with the above documents, must present and
submit to the Admissions Committee copies of the following documents:
- passport;
- military ID or military registration certificate.
Applicants may provide other documents confirming their non-competitive
and/or preferential enrollment rights.
Applicants are personally responsible for any incorrect information or
false documents provided.
Entrance examinations and admission are held at the university (Ashgabat)
on the following dates:
Ashgabat and Arkadag cities – July 30-31, August 1, and August 2;
Balkan region – August 3, 4, and 5;
Mary region – August 6, 7, and 8;
Dashoguz region – August 6, 7, and 8;
Lebap region – August 9, 10, and 11;
Ahal region – August 12, 13, and 14.
