Yagshigeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University is holding the IV International Open Internet Olympiad in Informatics
The Yagshigeldi
Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas is holding the IV International
Open Internet Olympiad in Informatics for students from higher education
institutions in our country and abroad on April 15-16, 2026, and invites all
interested students to participate.
The IV
International Open Olympiad in Informatics will be held in the form of
individual and team competitions.
The
official working languages of the IV International Open Olympiad in Informatics
are Turkmen, Russian, and English.
The Olympiad is held
regardless of the student's major or year of study.
The Olympiad will be
held on the Moodle platform.
Olympiad Procedure:
- the Olympiad will be
held in an individual competition format, and the number of students
participating from each higher education institution is not limited;
- olympiad results
will be calculated based on the total scores of the higher education
institutions, based on the individual and group results of the participants;
- the Olympiad will
offer a total of 10 tasks covering areas such as algorithmic programming, data
analysis, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity;
- students
participating in the Olympiad must solve the tasks independently;
- 120 minutes are
allocated to complete the Olympiad problems;
- olympiad tasks will
be developed by the Yagshigeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University
and agreed upon with the jury;
- to complete the
Olympiad tasks, participants can freely use the Internet, various programming
languages and artificial intelligence technologies;
- the jury will
evaluate the work of the students participating in the Olympiad and summarize
the results;
- winners in the
individual and group standings of the Olympiad will be determined based on the
total points earned using national software specially developed by the
Yagshigeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University;
- olympiad winners
will be awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree diplomas;
- the total number of
winners must not exceed 50% of the total number of participants. Diplomas must
be awarded at a ratio of 1:2:3;
- based on the results
of the team competition, teams from higher education institutions will be
awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree diplomas;
- information about
the Olympiad winners will be posted in a special section on the university
website;
- the Olympiad will be
monitored by cameras connected to the Zoom program.

the university website.
A list of university
students wishing to participate in the Olympiad should be prepared in
accordance with the template (Appendix 1) and sent to hngu.olimp@gmail.com
by April 10, 2026.
